Martha Marshall is a native Spanish speaker from Bogotá, Colombia. She holds a Doctorate degree in Dentistry from a well recognized Colombian University and a graduate certificate in Healthcare Translation and Interpreting from East Tennessee State University. She has been teaching Spanish in the United States for over thirteen years, working in both public and private schools. Also working as a private instructor, Martha guides individual students and business professionals with a range of skill levels to understand and speak a universally accepted version of the Spanish language.
Martha founded her business, SpeakFluentSpanish, in Lake Jackson, Texas, to focus on providing private instruction to students of all ages and professionals who need to learn or improve their Spanish language skills. She supports the Hispanic community in addressing their communication needs and accomplishing their missions. The company also specializes in healthcare translation and interpreting services, building on Martha’s background and the importance she places on helping patients and healthcare professionals understand each other.
Martha enjoys teaching her native language and believes that understanding the Spanish language and culture opens doors to many exciting opportunities and adventures. She agrees with Federico Fellini, who famously said, “A different language is a different vision of life.”
